The Bauges

In the heart of the Regional Natural Park, where mountain farming has shaped the landscape, 14 villages are scattered between the peaks of over 2000m and the gentler relief along the Chéran Valley. These landscapes of unspoiled nature have permitted the area to be classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the “Geopark” label.

The Bauges offer visitors a superb area for discovering local heritage sites and sporting activities in all seasons: hiking, skiing, mountain biking, canyoning, caving, visits to farms and local craftsmen, swimming at the Lescheraines lake…
